In the series AS IMAGE, Julia Liko explores vulnerability and the formation of personal space within a contemporary visual environment. The body is not presented directly but emerges through fragments, materials, and surrounding objects.

The figure remains incomplete and unstable. It appears and disappears, never fully aligning with its own image. Gestures, objects, and space become part of this construction.

The works are built through repetition and layering. The image cannot be fully defined and exists only in the act of perception.

Transparent materials and plastic create distortion and distance between the image and the viewer, functioning as a fragile form of protection.

The figure is held only in the moment of being seen, as image.
